Updated Bracket | Round 1 Results

HOWEY--IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. -- Alexis Jones finished 6-up on Valparaiso's Kylie Shoemake as the Oakland women's golf team completed the first round of the Motor City Cup match play tournament hosted by the Golden Grizzlies. 

Kylie Sullivan and Sydney Martens each finished 4-up on her opponent while Maddelyn Zack and Elle Nichols each finished 2-up. As a team, the Golden Grizzlies defeated the Crusaders 5-1 to advance to the semifinal round, which was suspended due to darkness, to face Loyola Chicago.

Second round play will resume tomorrow at 8 a.m. followed by the third and final round.
