BARTONVILLE, Ill. – Sophomore Logan Bentley captured her first collegiate tournament title on Monday at the Coyote Creek Classic in Bartonville, Illinois.

Bentley finished the invitational with a 54-hole score of 225 (+9), carding rounds of 72, 77, and 76 at the Coyote Creek Golf Course, a par-72, 6,019-yard layout. The performance marked her best 54-hole tournament score and finish as a Golden Grizzly.

Bentley ranked among the tournament's top performers in several statistical categories. She led the field with 34 pars and tied for sixth with six birdies, including three in the opening round to post an even-par 72. She also tied for first in par-3 scoring with an even 3.00 average, finished second in par-4 scoring with a 4.22 average, and tied for fourth in par-5 scoring with a 5.11 average.

In the final round, Bentley made back-to-back birdies on holes 13 and 14 to secure the tournament title.

As a team, Oakland finished fourth with a 936 (+72), just seven strokes behind tournament co-champions Idaho State and Bradley. The Golden Grizzlies ranked among the top four in every scoring average, recorded the second-most birdies with 24, and made the third-most pars with 143. Oakland closed the tournament strong, posting the best team score of the final round with a 19-over 307.

Freshman Hunter Edwards matched her career-best finish, placing third with a 228 (+12). Already demonstrating a strong first season with the Black and Gold, she continued her success by leading the field with 11 birdies and recording the tournament's best par-5 average at 5.00. She also tied for fifth in par-4 average (4.28) and tied for seventh in par-3 average (3.22).

Senior Lily Bargamian also finished among the tournament's top 15, tying for 12th with a 235 (+19). Bargamian matched Edwards with a 5.00 par-5 average and made 34 pars, tying Bentley for the team lead.

To finish Oakland's team, freshman Avery Manning went on to tie for 30th and sophomore Channing Hagen tied for 43rd. Back competing for the Golden Grizzlies as an individual, freshman Adrianna Mineo finished 46th.
