ROCHESTER, Mich. – Oakland returns to the golf course after a week off to compete in the women's Coyote Creek Classic Oct. 4-5 in Bartonville, Ill., for the third straight season.
The Golden Grizzlies return to the Coyote Creek Golf Club for the annual tournament, hosted by Bradley University. The two-day invitational begins Sunday with a 9:30 a.m. ET shotgun start and 36 holes of competition before concluding Monday with the final 18 holes.
Nine teams will compete in the Coyote Creek Classic: Bradley, Eastern Illinois, Evansville, Idaho State, Illinois State, Illinois-Springfield, Lindenwood, Oakland, and Prairie View A&M.
Oakland finished third out of six teams at last year's Coyote Creek Classic with a score of 932 (+68). Former Golden Grizzlies
Olivia Hemmila and
Grace Boczar each earned top-10 finishes, tying for ninth with a 14-over 230.
The Golden Grizzlies will compete with their full lineup, including freshmen Hunter Edwards and Avery Manning, senior Lily Bargamian, and sophomores Logan Bentley and Channing Hagen. Freshman
Adrianna Mineo will compete as an individual.
Oakland will begin on holes 13-15, teeing off alongside Prairie View A&M and Illinois State. Mineo will compete with individuals from Bradley and Illinois State, starting on hole nine.
