
MILWAUKEE, Wisc. - Kahlaijah Dean scored a team-high 18 points on 6-of-12 shooting while grabbing a career-high 11 rebounds to record her first career double-double as Oakland fell 83-53 to Milwaukee on Saturday.
Taylor Jones also just missed a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds while
Nikita Telesford added 11 points.
Teneea Heston also chipped in with nine points and four assists.
Despite Oakland (6-21, 3-13 HL) making a season second-best 18-of-23 (78.3%) free throws, Milwaukee's (14-13, 9-7 HL) hot shooting in the second half proved to be the difference as the Panthers outscored the Golden Grizzlies 26-17 in the third quarter going 10-for-22 (45.5%) from the field and 5-for-10 (50%) from 3-point range.
UWM closed out the game in the fourth going 8-from-14 from the field scoring 18 points while holding Oakland to only nine points.
Oakland closes out the regular season with a two-game home stand beginning with Northern Kentucky on Thur. at 4 p.m.
