
ROCHESTER, Mich. - For the fourth time this season, Oakland had four players in double figures as
Kahlaijah Dean scored a game-high 17 points with eight rebounds followed by
Taylor Jones with 14 points and nine rebounds,
Brianna Breedy with a career second-best 11 points and 10 from
Chloe Guingrich with six rebounds. However, the Golden Grizzlies battled but came up short as Northern Kentucky pulled away to a 74-63 win on Thursday at the O'rena.
After a closely contested three quarters, a late NKU run in the fourth quarter is what proved to be the difference. With Oakland leading 63-61 with 3:09 remaining, the Norse went on a 13-0 run to close out the game hitting 10-for-13 from the free throw line en route to the win.
Oakland closes out the regular season on Senior Day against league-leading Wright State on Saturday, Mar. 2 at Noon.
