
MOREHEAD, Ky. - Myles Zilinsky,
Mike McGee and
Mario Camilletti each recorded three hits while
Matt DiLeo and
Cam Post added a RBI as Oakland fell 16-3 and 11-0 in doubleheader action at Morehead State on Friday.
In game one, Zilinsky went 3-for-4, Camilletti hit 2-for-4 with DiLeo and McGee both hitting 1-for-3 with a RBI in the fourth and sixth inning respectively to get Oakland (0-6) on the board trailing at 8-2.
However, the seventh inning proved to be the Golden Grizzlies' undoing as Morehead State (5-1) posted eight runs to take a commanding 16-2 lead.
Post delivered a pinch hit RBI single in his first at bat of the season in the top of the eighth inning.
In the nightcap, McGee hit 2-for-3 while
Jace Matkin,
Drew Demumbrum,
Cherokee LeBeau and Camilletti each added a hit as Oakland fell behind 4-0 after the second inning.
The Golden Grizzlies could not scratch across a run leaving seven runners on base while the Eagles once again had a big inning plating seven runs in the eighth to put the game out of reach.
Due to possible weather conditions on Saturday, both teams will conclude the four-game stand on Sunday, Feb. 24 at 1 p.m.
