
MOREHEAD, Ky. - Mario Camilletti went 3-for-6 with a three-run home run and a pair of RBI singles totaling six RBI while
Myles Zilinsky hit 2-for-3 with three RBI as Oakland rallied from a 10-0 deficit tying the game at 12-12 in the top of the ninth. However, Morehead State got the winning run from an error to win 13-12 in walk-off fashion on Friday at Allen Field.
Ryan Fitzgerald went 2-for-5 delivering a clutch two-run single with the bases loaded in the ninth to draw even. In the bottom of the frame, MSU's Brody Shoupe hit a single and advanced to second on a fielding error. After advancing to third on a ground out, he later scored off a throwing error to give the Eagles the win.
Oakland's rally began with three runs in the fifth off RBI singles from Zilinsky and Camilletti. The Golden Grizzlies added six more runs in the eighth inning all with two outs with a RBI from
Austin Tangney and two more from Zilinsky. After Fitzgerald reached on an error, Camilletti made the Eagles pay with his three-run shot.
Due to weather conditions on Saturday, both teams will play a doubleheader on Friday, Feb. 22 at 12 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
