NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, NY - In her first game back from injury this season,
Chloe Guingrich recorded a double-double scoring a team-high 14 points with 12 rebounds as Oakland had a 77-63 setback at Niagara on Monday night.
Teneea Heston also just missed a double-double adding 11 points while grabbing a career-high nine rebounds.
Autumn Kissman scored 12 points going 6-for-10 from the field while
Jalisha Terry rounded out the players in double figures with 11 points.
Both teams had solid point production in the paint as Oakland held a slim 34-30 advantage. The Golden Grizzlies also posted 15 assists compared to nine from the Purple Eagles. However, Niagara's 21 points off turnovers and free throw production going 23-for-37 from the charity stripe compared to 9-for-10 from Oakland proved to be the difference.
Oakland travels to Miami, Fla. to open play in the FIU Thanksgiving Classic against host FIU on Friday, Nov. 29 at noon.
