Jamie Walling recorded 13 kills with a .480 hitting percentage while adding four blocks as the Oakland volleyball team swept UIC in three sets Saturday in the O'rena.
Lindsay Wightman etched her name into the Oakland record books by reaching 1,000 digs in her career. She had eight digs on the day.
Taylor Dellinger shelled out a match high 14 kills while hitting at a .464 clip.
Brittany Welch and
Jessica Riedl each added six kills.
Offensively, the Golden Grizzlies recorded a season high .361 hitting percentage, and committed a season low in attack errors with just six on the day.
Welch led Oakland on the defensive end with nine digs.
Megan Hobler registered a match high six blocks and Riedl added five.
Oakland (8-8, 1-3) will return to the court next on Oct. 9, traveling to Northern Kentucky for a mid-week match, before returning home Sunday, Oct. 13 to take on Milwaukee.Â
