Chloe Guingrich recorded career-highs in points (21) and rebounds (16) to lead Oakland to a 74-67 Metro Series win over arch-rival Detroit Mercy on Friday night. The Golden Grizzlies matched a season-best 24 assists on 30 made baskets and have won three straight over the Titans.
Autumn Kissman also posted a career-high 16 points on 7-of-11 shooting while
Kayla Luchenbach added a career-best 13 points going 6-for-7 from the field with two blocks.
After a close first quarter, Oakland (4-10, 1-2 HL) pulled away in the second out scoring Detroit Mercy (2-12, 0-3 HL) 21-4 increasing the lead to 27 points (53-26) with 4:40 remaining in the third quarter.
UDM battled back in the fourth quarter scoring 31 points sparked by 14-2 run to cut the lead to seven points but that would be as close as the Titans would get.
