In overtime, Jones hit a 3-pointer to tie the game at 61-61 with 1:18 remaining. After a forced UIC turnover allowed Oakland to regain possession, the Golden Grizzlies turned the ball back over which the Flames converted to take a 63-61 lead with 48 seconds left. After Jones split a pair of free throws to pull within a point, UIC went 6-for-7 from the charity stripe down the stretch to close out the game.
