INDIANAPOLIS -- Jaevin Cumberland has been named Horizon League Player of the Week for the week of Jan. 14-20 announced by the league office Monday.

The redshirt junior from Wilmington, Ohio, led all scorers with 24 points and hit six three-pointers as Oakland defeated rival Detroit Mercy 79-73 at Calihan Hall on Jan. 19. Cumberland, who leads the league in three-point field goal percentage, was just one three-pointer shy of matching his career high and has hit six or more treys in a game three times this season. The shooting guard is averaging 20.6 points in conference games and recorded his fourth 20-point performance since entering league play.

Oakland, which moved into second-place in the conference standings with the win over the Titans, will travel this week to IUPUI on Jan. 24 and UIC on Jan. 26.
