ROCHESTER, Mich. - For the second time this season,
Autumn Kissman poured in a career-high 16 points while shooting a career-best 8-for-12 from the field as Oakland fell 77-53 to visiting Green Bay on Childhood Cancer Awareness Day at the O'rena.
Kahlaijah Dean also scored in double figures for the fourth consecutive game with 12 points matching a career-mark going 4-for-6 from 3-point range.
Kayla Luchenbach and
LaKyesha Stennis also each added six points.
Oakland's (4-14, 1-6 HL) 16 first half turnovers proved to be costly as Green Bay (11-6, 6-1 HL) converted them into 22 points while shooting 5-for-11 from behind the arc to take a 40-25 lead at the half.
Oakland committed only one turnover in the second half but could not counter Green Bay's continued hot shooting as the Phoenix went 11-for-19 (57%) in the second half finishing the game 24-for-48 (50%) while going 22-for-25 (88%) from the free throw line.
The Golden Grizzlies open a five-game road swing beginning at Wright State on Friday, Jan. 25 at 7 p.m.
