KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Ava Thielman picked up a No. 1 singles win in straight sets over Melina Lyubomirova (7-6, 6-3) as the Oakland tennis team fell to Western Michigan, 6-1 on Saturday.
 
The Golden Grizzlies are back in action next weekend when they travel to Akron, Ohio to take on the Zips on Friday, Jan. 18 at 10 a.m. and Chicago State Saturday, Jan. 19 beginning at 9 a.m.
