ROCHESTER, Mich. --
Krysteena Davis recorded six kills for a hitting percentage of .429 plus five blocks and one dig as the Oakland volleyball team dropped its home opener to Colorado State Friday night at the O'rena.
Aleksandra Malek added 10 kills and 10 digs while
Lindsay Wightman led the team with 21 digs.
After Oakland (3-5) got off to a dominant start winning the opening set 25-14, The Rams (6-2) rattled off three sets wins in a row to win the match.
In game one at No. 20 Michigan, Malek led the way with eight kills, two digs and one assists as Oakland lost in three sets. Wightman registered 11 digs to led the defense.
The Golden Grizzlies will host SEC foe LSU for its Overflow The O match tomorrow live on ESPN+ at 2:30 p.m. Oakland will attempt to set a new volleyball attendance record as it hosts its first-ever SEC school inside the O'rena.
