BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich. - Dasha Artamonova won in straight sets over Georgie Sanders, 6-1, 6-4, at No. 2 singles and teamed with Allison Motea to secure a 6-2 win at No. 3 doubles as Oakland opened Horizon League play dropping a hard fought match to UIC, 4-3, on Saturday. Darya Maltseva won in three sets at the No. 1 slot while Amanda Nilsson also secured a three-set win at the No. 6 position.

Oakland continues Horizon League play against IUPUI on Sunday, March 25 at 4:30 p.m.
