YPSILANTI, Mich. - Allison Motea defeated Giuliana Ansaloni in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3, at No. 3 singles while Amanda Nilsson and Sofia Borcuti won over Marie Mayerova and Ani Gogvadze, 6-3, at No. 1 doubles but it was not enough as Oakland fell 6-1 at Eastern Michigan on Friday.

Dasha Artamonova battled but also fell in three sets at the No. 1 position.

Oakland opens Horizon League play against UIC on Saturday, March 24 at the Bloomfield Racquet and Fitness at 11 a.m.
