TOLEDO, Ohio - Dasha Artamonova defeated Sidnay Huck 6-2, 4-6, 6-4 at the No. 1 singles position as the Oakland women's tennis team put in a solid effort before falling at Toledo, 6-1, on Saturday at the Shadow Valley Tennis Club in Maumee, Ohio.

The Golden Grizzlies came close to securing the doubles point as the No. 1 tadum of Artamonova and Sofia Borcuti and No. 2 team of Alexandra Whall and Darya Maltseva each fell in a tie breaker.

Maltseva also fell in three sets at the No. 3 position.

Oakland will play the next four matches in Florida beginning at Stetson on Tuesday, Feb. 20 at 11 a.m.
