Westlake, Ohio – Colin Sikkenga led the Oakland men's golf team on the final round of the Tom Tontimonia Invitational carding a third round score of 73 (+2), tying for 13^th place overall. The Golden Grizzlies finished in second place with a score of 871 (+19), two strokes behind champions University of Dayton (869, +17).
 
Chris Handy and Thomas Giroux tied for seventh place after three rounds scoring 216 (+3) after 56 holes.
 
Oakland finished in front of league foes Cleveland State (3^rd), Northern Kentucky (5^th), Green Bay (8^th), Detroit Mercy (9^th), Youngstown State (10^th), and Wright State (11^th).
 
The Golden Grizzlies are back in action Monday, Oct. 8 through Tuesday, Oct. 9 in Dayton, Ohio for the Dayton Flyers Invitational.
