Marc Norton shot a team-best 144 (+2) in the final two rounds of the Musketeers Classic as the Oakland men's golf team wrapped up its fall season at the Maketewah Country Club Tuesday. Norton shot a second round score of 74 (+3) and capped off his tournament with a one-under par 70.
Chris Handy finished the highest for the Golden Grizzlies with a three-day score of 216 (+3), tying for sixth place. Handy carded rounds of 75 (+4) and 71 (E) on the day.
Sean Niles also made the top-20 with a score of 220 (+7), recording a second round score of 72 (+1) and final round of 74.
Oakland will return for its spring season on Feb. 18-19 at the A10 Match Play hosted by George Washington in Weston, Fla.
