TRINIDAD & TOBAGO - Former Oakland men's soccer standout and All-Summit League selection Makesi Lewis has been called up as a member of the 22-man Trinidad and Tobago National Team for the upcoming international friendly against Grenada in St. George's on March 19.
The friendly comes as part of the team's preparation for the 2018 FIFA CONCACAF World Cup semifinal qualifier round against St Vincent/Grenadines on March 25th in Kingstown and March 29th at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain.
Lewis transferred to Oakland from Madonna in 2008 helping the Golden Grizzlies to a Summit League championship and NCAA Tournament berth while earning Summit League All-Newcomer team honors. In 2009, Lewis tied for the team lead in points with eight helping Oakland to consecutive league titles and was named All-Summit League second team.
Lewis currently plays club soccer with Police FC and leads the Trinidad and Tobago Pro League in goals with 18.
