ROCHESTER, Mich. - The Oakland men's golf team will play its final tournament before the league championship this weekend as it competes in the NYX Hoosier Invitational, hosted by Indiana, Saturday and Sunday from the IU Golf Course (par 71, 6,813 yards) in Bloomington, Ind.

Last time out, the Golden Grizzlies finished fourth at the Wright State Intercollegiate with a score of 889 as Sean Burgess earned his best career finish at T6 after an opening round 70. Evan Bowser earned a share of 16th place with a final score of 224, while Jimmy Jaskoske and Jacob Johnson were one stroke behind to place T19.

Bowser leads the Golden Grizzlies with a 73.38 stroke average. He currently ranks second all-time in rounds under par with 20 and trails current PGA professional Brian Stuard (2001-05), who finished his Oakland career with 21 rounds under par.

Jake Kneen is second on the team with a 74.88 stroke average and was named the Horizon League Golfer of the Week on March 23 after posting a 6-under-par 210 at the Jackrabbit Invitational. Jaskoske and Burgess are each tied for third on the team with identical 75.43 stroke averages.
