MADISON, Wisc. – The Oakland University men's golf team tied for ninth place at the Badger Invitational at the TPC Wisconsin (par-72, 7,272 yds), with two Golden Grizzlies finishing in the top 20.

In his first collegiate team start, freshman Rakshit Dahiya led the way for Oakland with an impressive debut performance. Despite multiple lightning delays on day one, Dahiya recorded a collegiate-best 67 (-5) in the second round that stretched into Tuesday. He finished tied for 7th overall with a 54-hole total of 212 (-4). 

Not far behind was Jack Zubkus, who displayed consistency throughout the invitational. Zubkus tied for 19th with a 217 (+1), recording 13 birdies across the three rounds. This marks the second consecutive event where Oakland placed two golfers in the top 20.

As a team, the Golden Grizzlies recorded a final score of 872 (+8), tying Minnesota for ninth. The team's second-round total of 279 (-9) now ranks as the sixth-best 18-hole team score in program history.

Rounding out the Oakland lineup, the remaining golfers finished within two strokes of one another. Matteo Rocco tied for 47th with a score of 222 (+6), Ellis Kinnaird tied for 54th with 223 (+7), and Brennan Sullivan tied for 59th with 224 (+8). Brennan recorded Oakland's only eagle of the invitational on the par-5 seventh hole during the second round.
