YPSILANTI, Mich. - Cam Sabourin was victorious at No. 5 singles and Elizabeth Guy was a straight-set winner at No. 6 singles in Oakland's 5-2 setback at Eastern Michigan Saturday evening at the Chippewa Club.

Sabourin dropped the first set 6-4, but came back to capture the second set 6-1. Sabourin then went on to win the tiebreaker 10-4 to capture a point for the Golden Grizzlies.

In No. 6 singles, Guy won her second singles match in as many days with a 7-5, 6-4 win over Zsofia Biro.

"We really picked things up in singles after a disappointing effort in doubles," Oakland head coach Heather Redshaw said. "Cam and Eli played great and Tamara Blum had a very good second set."
Eastern Michigan captured the dual-opening singles point, defeating Oakland's No. 2 and No. 3 pairs by a score of 6-1. The Eagles then won at No. 4, No. 1 and No. 3 singles to win the dual.

Oakland is back in action Friday, Jan. 31 at Western Michigan.
