ROCHESTER, Mich. - Oakland cross country leaves the country to take part in the Western International Cross Country Invitational at Thames Valley Golf Course in London, Ontario, Canada on Saturday, Sept. 21. The event will feature numerous teams including in-state rival Wayne State and is slated to begin at 10:00 a.m. with the women's 5K race, while the men's 8K race follows at 10:50 a.m.

Meet Notes
• The Golden Grizzlies are racing in the Western International Invite after a two-week break in competition.
• The men's and women's teams both placed second in the Detroit Invitational on Sept. 7.
• Sammy Mondry has led the women in both races this season with times of 15:30.6 (4K) and 19:01.47 (5K).
• For the men, Michael Cox finished first in the Golden Grizzly Open on Aug. 30 in 15:50.2 (5K).
• Andrew Bowman paced the Grizzlies in the Detroit Invitational, finishing fourth overall in a time of 20:53.39 (four mile).
