BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. - Cam Sabourin and Grace Keating each won their singles matches 6-0 and 6-0 as the Oakland women's tennis team (3-11) defeated Western Illinois (0-13), 6-1, Friday morning at The Summit League Cluster at Bloomfield Tennis & Fitness.
The Golden Grizzlies swept each singles match they played in as Karine Celis won her No. 1 singles match 6-1 and 6-1, while Tamara Blum won her No. 2 singles match 6-0 and 6-1. In the No. 5 singles match Juliana Guevara won 6-1 and 6-0.
The doubles team of Celis and Guevara won the No. 1 doubles match 8-0, while the No. 2 doubles team of Blum and Sabourin won 8-1.
The Golden Grizzlies will conclude The Summit League Cluster tomorrow as they face IUPUI starting at 8 a.m. at Bloomfield Tennis & Fitness.
