ROCHESTER, Mich. - Sophomore Bethany Watterworth scored 21 points to lead Oakland (16-10, 10-5) but it wasn't enough as South Dakota State (14-13, 10-6) connected on 11 3-pointers to defeat Oakland 76-52 in Summit League play on Saturday at The Athletics Center O'rena. The Golden Grizzlies have lost back-to-back for just the second time all season, having gone 7-2 following a loss this season.

Watterworth was 8-for-20 from the field and connected on a trio of 3-pointers to lead Oakland in scoring and rebounding with six boards. Junior Sharise Calhoun also reached double-digits with 10 points and had five rebounds. Despite shooting just 30.2 percent from the floor, the Golden Grizzlies clawed away eight steals and won the turnover battle 6-18.
