MACOMB, Ill. - The Oakland University women's tennis team (6-11, 3-5 Summit League) concluded the 2008-09 season with a 4-0 loss to Western Illinois on Sunday.

The Golden Grizzlies and Westerwinds completed just the first four singles points, and left No. 5 singles and No. 6 singles unfinished. The doubles matches were not played.

With their 3-5 mark in league play, the Golden Grizzlies did not finish in the top four in the league standings, and thus, Oakland did not qualify for the upcoming league championship.
