NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Freshman Vince Carnago carded a season-low 76, while freshman transfer Robby McNiff fired a 77, as the Oakland University men's golf team opened the spring season with a loss to Lipscomb University, 290-311, on Friday. The Golden Grizzlies will travel to Hilton Head Island, S.C., for the Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate on Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 25-26.

Other scorers for the Grizzlies was sophomore Frank McAuliffe (78) and senior Nate Hendriks (80). Freshman Travis Peitz and redshirt sophomore Jake Crane finished the round with 83 and 84, respectively.

The Bisons were led by Clint Suggs and Brian Mundie, who each shot par or better scores with 71 and 72, respectively. Cory Parkinson (73) and Cody Hale (74) were the final scorers for Lipscomb.
