TULSA, Okla. - It was a hard fought battle, but the No. 30 Oakland University men's soccer team fell to Oral Roberts in overtime by a score of 1-0 in Tulsa, Okla. Saturday night.
OU took 16 shots in the contest and had seven shots on goal, but ORU goaltender Irving Peralta stopped all seven and senior Steve Clark made three saves, making the game scoreless through regulation.
But the goalless streak came to an end in the 105th minute when Golden Eagle Jordan Tatum scored on a corner kick after the ball deflected off an Oakland defender, bringing the game to its 1-0 final score.
The Golden Grizzlies look to rebound from the loss when they take on the University of Akron Wednesday, Oct. 8 at 7:30 p.m.
