Crystal Davis

Crystal Davis joined the Oakland women’s basketball team as the Director of Operations for the 2017-18 season. After the 2018-19 season, she was promoted to assistant coach on July 1, 2019.
 
Prior to Oakland, Davis spent two years as an assistant women's basketball coach at Olivet College. During the 2015-16 season, Davis helped guide the team to the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Tournament semifinals for the fourth consecutive season and 13-13 overall mark. The Comets were also named to the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Top 25 Academic Team Honor Roll with a 3.544 team grade point average which ranked 13th among all NCAA Division III women's basketball programs for the 2015-16 academic year.
 
Davis also spent two years as the assistant to the athletic director/assistant women’s basketball coach at Case Western Reserve (Ohio) University prior to joining Olivet's staff. She joined the department in the summer of 2013 through an NCAA Division III Ethnic Minority and Women’s Internship grant.
 
In addition, Davis was an assistant women’s basketball coach at Wilmington (Ohio) College for two seasons. Prior to her time in Wilmington, she spent one year at Glenville State (W.Va.) College as head women’s golf coach/assistant women’s basketball coach (2009-10) and a year as a graduate assistant for women’s basketball at Lindenwood (Mo.) University (2008-09).
 
A native of Wilmington, Ohio, Davis earned a Master Degree in Sport Management at Lindenwood in 2009 and Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from Berea (Ky.) College in 2006.
 
At Berea, Davis was a standout student-athlete for the women’s basketball team finishing as the program’s all-time leader in assists. As a senior in 2005-06, Davis ranked sixth in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) at 5.8 assists per game and first with a 3.48 assist-to-turnover ratio leading the Lady Mountaineers to a school-record 21 wins.
