Loughren is entering 2nd season as a graduate assistant for Oakland men's basketball team. His responsibilities include editing film, generating scouting reports, and coordinating player workouts. Prior to Oakland was a student manager for Oklahoma State men's basketball from 2018 to 2022 where he assisted with handling equipment, travel preparation, film breakdown, and everyday practice. Additionally, Loughren helped run youth basketball camps at Oklahoma State and currently does so at Oakland. Loughren graduated from Oklahoma State University with a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering & Management and is currently pursuing a master's degree in Organizational Leadership. He is a native of Cedar Falls, Iowa.
