ROCHESTER, Mich. – Oakland Volleyball announces its promotional schedule for the upcoming 2026 season. The Golden Grizzlies will host 12 matches, including four neutral-site tournament matches, in the OU Credit Union O'rena this year, with many exciting theme nights and promotions. Promotional highlights include:

• Throwback Show Night, 10/2 vs. Wright State

• Family Game Night, 10/3 vs. Northern Kentucky

• Volloween, 10/30 and 10/31 vs. Milwaukee

Youth volleyball clubs and teams (ages 12 and under) are invited to experience game day with the Golden Grizzlies Volleyball program throughout the 2026 season.

Clubs may receive special group ticket opportunities for players, coaches, and family members and participate in select game-day experiences throughout the season. To register your club or learn more, contact Emme at eplichta@oakland.edu. Availability is limited and is filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

AUGUST

Friday, August 22 vs. Black & Gold Scrimmage – 5:00 PM
Kick off the season with our annual intrasquad scrimmage. This free event gives fans a first look at this year's team.

Saturday, August 23 vs. Wayne State – 2:00 PM
Join us for a non-conference exhibition matchup with Wayne State. Admission is free for all fans.

SEPTEMBER

Friday, September 11 vs. UAB – 10:00 AM
Come support the team during this special morning match.

Friday, September 11 – Montana vs. Eastern Michigan – 12:00 PM
Neutral site matchup as part of our weekend tournament action.

Friday, September 11 – Eastern Michigan vs. UAB – 5:00 PM
Another exciting tournament match featuring regional opponents.

Friday, September 11 vs. Montana – 7:00 PM – Faculty and Staff Appreciation Day / Fan Appreciation Day
Join us for the first home match of the season as we celebrate Oakland University faculty, staff, and Golden Grizzlies fans. OU faculty and staff receive free admission. Fans can enjoy the premiere of the team's new hype video and special fan appreciation activities throughout the evening

Saturday, September 12 – UAB vs. Montana – 12:00 PM
Final neutral site tournament match of the weekend.

Saturday, September 12 vs. Eastern Michigan – 3:00 PM – Kid's Day / Camper Reunion Day 
A celebration for our youngest Golden Grizzlies fans. Children ages 12 and under receive free admission with a paying adult. Summer volleyball campers are invited back for Camper Reunion Day and will receive discounted admission. Stay after the match for a free youth volleyball clinic led by Oakland Volleyball student-athletes and coaches.

Friday, September 18 vs. Marist – 2:00 PM 
Join the Golden Grizzlies as they continue non-conference play against Marist.

Sunday, September 20 vs. Illinois State – 2:00 PM
Oakland wraps up tournament weekend action with a Sunday afternoon matchup against Illinois State.

OCTOBER

Friday, October 2 vs. Wright State – 6:00 PM – Throwback Show Night
Step back into the era of classic TV favorites with a night inspired by iconic childhood shows from the 2000s and early 2010s. Fans can enjoy themed in-game entertainment, music, and visuals celebrating some of the most memorable series from growing up. 

Saturday, October 3 vs. Northern Kentucky – 4:00 PM – Family Game Night
Bring the entire family out to the Blacktop for an afternoon of volleyball and fun. Fans can enjoy family-friendly activities and a special board game giveaway while supplies last.

Friday, October 9 vs. IU Indy – 6:00 PM
Continue Horizon League action as the Golden Grizzlies host IU Indy.

Saturday, October 10 vs. IU Indy – 2:00 PM – Dig Pink
Join Oakland Volleyball in supporting breast cancer awareness during the annual Dig Pink match. Fans who register for the Making Strides Walk receive free admission.

Saturday, October 24 vs. Cleveland State – 2:00 PM – Club Day
Local volleyball clubs are invited to attend and represent their teams. Club athletes ages 12 and under receive free admission with a paying adult. Following the match, fans can stay for a special postgame open serving session with Oakland Volleyball.

Friday, October 30 vs. Milwaukee – 6:00 PM – Volloween Weekend
Celebrate Halloween weekend with the Golden Grizzlies. Fans are encouraged to wear costumes and enjoy themed activities throughout the evening.

Saturday, October 31 vs. Milwaukee – 2:00 PM – Volloween Weekend
Continue the Halloween festivities with an afternoon of volleyball and family-friendly fun inside the Blacktop.
 

NOVEMBER

Saturday, November 7 vs. Youngstown State – 4:00 PM – Senior Day / Alumnae Day
Join us as we celebrate Oakland Volleyball's senior class and welcome back former players for Alumnae Day.
