ROCHESTER, Mich. – The stage is set for championship season as the Oakland Golden Grizzlies prepare to host the 2026 Horizon League Outdoor Track and Field Championships this weekend at the Elaine Leigh Track and Field Complex.
The three-day championship meet will run from Friday, May 8 through Sunday, May 10, bringing the league's top student-athletes to Rochester for one of the premier events of the outdoor season. Oakland will serve as the host institution for the conference championships after an impressive outdoor campaign that has featured multiple school records, event wins, and nationally ranked performances.
Competition begins Friday morning with the multi events and preliminary action in the 1500m on the track, ending the opening day with the 10k races as well, before championship racing and field event finals continue throughout Saturday and Sunday.
