ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Oakland Golden Grizzlies closed out competition at the Mount Union Last Chance Meet with three event victories on Thursday, as
Wesley Hollowell,
Kylei Anderson, and
Ja-Van Poole each earned first-place finishes in Alliance, Ohio.
Anderson continued her record-breaking outdoor season with a victory in the women's 100m hurdles, clocking a school-record time of 13.37 seconds. The performance shattered the previous program mark and added another standout result to an already historic campaign for the sophomore.
Poole also earned a first-place finish for Oakland, taking the men's 400m hurdles title with a time of 55.13 seconds. The reigning Horizon League Men's Athlete of the Year continued his strong postseason form heading into championship competition.
As the lone distance runner in attendance for Oakland, Hollowell secured another win for the Golden Grizzlies in the men's 3,000m steeplechase, crossing the finish line in 9:29.49.
