Track and Field Kicks Off First Action at Home with Golden Grizzlies Invite

ROCHESTER, Mich. - The Golden Grizzlies return home for their annual Golden Grizzlies Invite, kicking off the first action at the Elaine Leigh Track and Field Complex this season.

Oakland is on the heels of a weekend at the Raleigh Relays and Cedarville Invite, where eight Golden Grizzlies set personal best marks. Kylei Anderson had a strong appearance in her first meet of the outdoor season, where she earned first place finishes in the long jump and high jump, moving into the top ten all-time program marks for both.

In what will be the third meet of the season, Oakland will host the pole vault events on Friday, Apr. 3 at 11 a.m. The rest of the meet will take place beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday with the throwing events and 5k, before the remainder of the events begin at 12 p.m.
