NORMAN, Okla. – The 2024-25 Oakland Men's Golf program has earned the Platform Golf Team Academic Award, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) on Tuesday.
The Golden Grizzlies earned a cumulative GPA average over 3.0 during the academic year. The team picked up a 75.36 stroke average on the course through the fall and spring seasons, had 11 individual top-ten finishers and a first-place team finish at the Cleveland State-hosted Tom Tontimonia Invitational in September.
A GCAA-record 292 schools across six divisions earned a Platform Golf Team Academic Award. 129 schools received Presidents Special Recognition for having an average team GPA of 3.5 or above.
