Warisara "Best" Lee.
OAKLAND 5, NORTHERN KENTUCKY 2
On Friday, the Golden Grizzlies came out strong in doubles play, earning the point behind convincing wins from 
Martyna Piechowicz and 
Josie Ward (6-1) and 
Edie Hammond and 
Emilia Jarvinen (6-2).
In singles action, Oakland picked up four more victories to secure the win. 
Emilia Jarvinen, 
Nisa Bulut, Warisara Lee, and 
Martyna Piechowicz all posted straight-set victories.
OAKLAND 5, IU INDY 2
Saturday's match doubled as Senior Day, where the program honored graduate student Warisara "Best" Lee. The Golden Grizzlies dropped the doubles point despite a 6-1 win at the top spot by Piechowicz and Ward. But the Golden Grizzlies were dominant in singles, taking five of six matches.
Jarvinen led the way with a 6-1, 6-0 win at the No. 1 spot, while Bulut, Hammond, Piechowicz, and 
Tara Montreuil all secured key wins to close out the match.
UP NEXT
The Golden Grizzlies are back on the road to continue Horizon League play as they take on Youngstown State and Cleveland State on April 18th and 19th.
