DAYTONA BEACH, Fl. – Oakland Men's Golf concluded play at the Daytona Beach Intercollegiate, hosted by Stetson, finishing 13th with a three-round team score of 923 (+59). The Golden Grizzlies showed steady improvement, posting scores of 313, 307, and 303 across the tournament.
Matteo Rocco led the team with a 229 (+13) total, tying for 33rd overall. Rocco showed improvements each round, posting scores of 80, 76, and 73.
Bhavneet Sohal and
Robert Burns followed closely behind, each carding a 231 (+15) to finish tied for 43rd.
Jack Zubkus posted a 233 (+17) for a tie at 48th, while
Luke Kelly and
Ellis Kinnaird rounded out the lineup, finishing tied for 67th and 69th, respectively.
Troy secured the team title with a score of 878 (+14), followed by Stetson in second at 896 (+32).
The Golden Grizzlies will look to build on this experience as they continue their spring schedule, aiming for stronger finishes in upcoming tournaments. Up next, the Golden Grizzlies will face off at the Brook Valley Intercollegiate hosted by East Carolina University on March 17-18, 2025.
