GREENVILLE, N.C. – The Oakland men's golf team wrapped up the three-day ECU Intercollegiate on Tuesday, finishing 13th at the Brook Valley Country Club.

Due to the threat of inclement weather, the tournament was extended to three days, with each team playing 18 holes per day. Competing on the par-72, 6,803-yard course, the Golden Grizzlies posted a final score of 931 (+67). The last round proved difficult for most of the field, including Oakland, as 11 of the 15 teams recorded their highest score on the final day.

Junior Matteo Rocco led the team for the first time since the Purdue Fall Invitational in mid-October. He tied for the fourth-most pars in the tournament with 38 and finished with a total score of 230 (+14).

Making back-to-back team starts for the first time in his career, freshman Rakshit Dahiya finished two strokes behind Rocco at 232 (+16). Rocco and Dahiya shared the team lead in par-three scoring with a 3.17 average, while Dahiya led Oakland in par-five scoring with a 4.75 average, tied for ninth in the three-day event.

Junior Jack Zubkus and senior Ellis Kinnaird finished just one stroke apart at the conclusion of the ECU Intercollegiate, carding scores of 237 and 238, respectively. The pair led the team in birdies, with Kinnaird making seven and Zubkus knocking down six. Both also performed well on the par fives, each recording a 5.08 scoring average.

Sophomore Brennan Sullivan rounded out the team's scoring with a final score of 242. Along with Zubkus and Kinnaird, Sullivan recorded a 5.08 scoring average on the par fives and made six birdies across the three days, tying Zubkus.
