BOSTON, Mass. – CollegeInsider.com announced the Early Season Watch List for the 2025-26 Lou Henson award, which is presented annually to the top player in mid-major Division I College Basketball on Thursday. Oakland's Brody Robinson was named to the national list.
The 5-10 point guard is leading the Golden Grizzlies in scoring (16.3 ppg) and assists (6.1 apg) – ranked 23rd in the nation in dishing passes and 12th with 73 total assists this season. The Houston native picked up a double-double (12 points, 10 assists) against Lamar, and shot a career-high 27 points in Oakland's Horizon League opener against Purdue Fort Wayne.
The last Golden Grizzly to earn the Lou Henson Award was guard Trey Townsend in 2024. The recipient of the annual award is determined by a 10-member voting committee, which consists of current and former head coaches, as well as two senior staff members of CollegeInsider.com.
The 2026 award will be announced in Indianapolis, Ind, site of the men's Division I Basketball Championship.
