ROCHESTER, Mich. – Senior Lyse Bates and sophomores Kiley Gallagher and Delaney Stern were named to the 2025 College Sport Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team for their work on the court and in the classroom the organization announced Tuesday. 

All-District status recognizes those who have played in over 90% of this season's matches, owns a minimum of a 3.50 cumulative GPA, and demonstrated strong volleyball and academic skills throughout the year.

Bates, a native of Portage, started as Oakland's primary libero in all 30 matches this season, picking up 467 digs (4.32 digs/set) and recording 92 assists and 18 service aces from the line. The senior boasts a 3.66 GPA in Communications, while being a regular on the OU Dean's and President's lists and is set to graduate from Oakland next spring.

Appearing in 29 matches with five starts across the season in the back row, Gallagher earned 191 digs as a defensive specialist with a .935 serve-receive rate and 20 service aces. She is majoring in exercise science and holds a 3.60 GPA, earning a spot on the Oakland Dean's List in Spring 2025. 

Stern earns her spot on the All-District list holding a 3.5 GPA in Orthotist and Prosthetist Assistant Studies and a member of the Dean's List at Oakland. On the court, the setter picked up her career 1,000th assist this season, totaling 829 assists for a 8.05 assist/set average in 2025. She contributed 17 service aces and 48 points, while owning 12 double-double matches and five 40+ assist matches during the season.
