ROCHESTER, Mich. – The Golden Grizzlies continue their home stretch this week, taking on a pair of Wisconsin squads in Green Bay and Milwaukee as they look to extend their three-game unbeaten streak.
Oakland currently holds sole possession of sixth place in the Horizon League standings following a dominant 3-1 win over Purdue Fort Wayne last time out, putting them in control of their postseason destiny as the final stretch of the season unfolds.
The Golden Grizzlies tallied three goals in their victory over the Mastodons — their second most in a match this season — courtesy of
Kimee Liu,
Alli Leonard, and
Rose Gevanthor, all of whom notched their first goals of the year.
During their three-game unbeaten run, Oakland has outshot opponents by a combined margin of 49 to 23, including a 17 to 12 edge in shots on goal.

The Phoenix (3-7-2, 1-2-1 HL) sit two spots behind the Golden Grizzlies in the league table and are also coming off a win against Purdue Fort Wayne in their most recent outing.
Green Bay features one of the top offensive units in the Horizon League, ranking third in goals scored (18), shots on goal per game (5.83), and total shots per game (13.75).
Oakland holds an 8-3-3 advantage in the all-time series and has not lost to Green Bay since 2017. At home, the Golden Grizzlies have dropped just one of eight matchups in Rochester.
Last season's contest ended in a 1-0 Oakland win, with
Shannon Brown's 42nd-minute goal proving to be the difference.
This year, Green Bay is led by a trio of three-goal scorers — Senah Hanes, Bella Brozek, and Ryann Hafenbrak — who pace the Phoenix attack.
SUNDAY, OCT. 12 vs MILWAUKEE | 1 PM | ESPN+
The Golden Grizzlies close out the week with a matchup against the seven-time defending Horizon League champions, Milwaukee.
The Panthers (8-4-1, 5-0 HL) enter the week with a perfect conference record and a seven-game winning streak. Before traveling to Rochester, they will face Detroit Mercy on Thursday.
Milwaukee once again leads the conference in nearly every major offensive category, including goals (33), assists (43), and shots on goal (97). Senior forward Mallory McGuire spearheads the attack with six goals, tied with Oakland's
Brae Cole for third-most in the conference. McGuire also ranks second in the league in shots on goal (17).
Oakland will look to secure its first win over the Panthers since 2003. The last meeting in Rochester, in 2023, ended in a 0-0 draw, marking one of only two times in the past decade that the Golden Grizzlies have held Milwaukee scoreless.
With confidence and momentum building, the Golden Grizzlies are in prime position to define their postseason path. Strong performances against two of the Horizon League's toughest opponents would further cement Oakland's position among the conference's contenders and keep their unbeaten streak alive heading into the season's final stretch.
