ROCHESTER, Mich. – The Golden Grizzlies volleyball team heads to Cleveland for their final midweek conference match of the season to take on Cleveland State Tuesday evening. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m. inside Woodling Gymnasium on ESPN+.
After an 0-2 weekend to IU Indy last weekend, Oakland fell to 5-6 in the Horizon League action. Outside hitter Ella Martin took charge with 11 kills between both matches and getting her second start of the season Friday evening. Libero Lyse Bates tagged on another back-to-back double-digit dig outing over the weekend as setter Delaney Stern earned another double-double as she powered the offense.
Oakland is ranked fifth in the nation (first in Horizon League) in team attacks/set with 38.30, totaling 3,217 swings on the second for 17th in the NCAA.

SCOUTING THE VIKINGS
After a month since last meeting, Cleveland State is 5-17 on the season, sitting in ninth place in the Horizon League at 3-8. The Vikings picked up league wins over Robert Morris and the series sweep over Purdue Fort Wayne.
Earlier in the season, the Golden Grizzlies took care of Cleveland State, 3-1, inside the OU Credit Union O'rena during the first match of the series and picked up their first win of the year. Five different Golden Grizzlies picked up career-highs during the match, including outside hitter Libby Smith, who produced 22 kills off of a .367 hitting percentage, Stern who collected 55 assists in running the 5-1 offense, and Bates' 26-dig outing to tie her career high.
