Liu and Mudd Named to #HLWSOC All-League Awards

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Horizon League has announced their 2024 #HLWSOC All-League Awards, featuring a pair of Oakland standouts Kimee Liu and Frankie Mudd.

Kimee Liu was named to the All-Freshman Team after a standout first campaign in the black and gold. She tallied 12 starts in 15 appearances, accumulating 834 minutes on the pitch. She scored one goal and earned an assist on the season, both against Purdue Fort Wayne (10/5). The freshman from London, Ontario, Can. also put over half of her shots taken on goal (.556), really coming onto the scene strong as both an attacker and a connecter in the Oakland midfield.

"I'm thrilled to see Kimee earn a spot on the All-Freshman Team," said Oakland Head Coach Devin Zvosec. "She had an outstanding season, driving our midfield unit and truly deserving this honor."

Also named in the postseason awards was junior Frankie Mudd, who earned a spot as a Sportsmanship Award Finalist. Mudd shined on the pitch, leading the team in goals scored (3), shots (53), and shots on goal (20). Her numbers for shots and shots on goal also both ranked in the top five among all Horizon League players. She also showed exemplary leadership and sportsmanship, earning her a spot in the awards.

Zvosec added, "It's also wonderful to see Frankie recognized as a finalist for the sportsmanship award. She's a remarkable person who shows deep commitment to her teammates and our university. Proud of her achievements both on and off the field!"
