MUSKEGON, Mich. - The Oakland men's and women's cross country teams delivered strong performances this morning as a trio of runners competed at the Jayhawk Collegiate Invitational.
On the men's side, freshman
Bryce Nowik led the way for the Golden Grizzlies with an impressive showing, securing a 15th-place finish in the 8K race with a time of 26:05.50. For the Oakland women's team,
Hannah Fisher proved to be a standout competitor, crossing the line in 4th place in the 5K with a time of 18:11.40. In addition,
Emma Hoffmeyer finished in 38th place with a time of 19:37.20, rounding out a solid day for the three Golden Grizzlies racing.
Both the men's and women's teams head to Madison, Wis., next weekend (Oct. 19) for a big meet as it'll race in Pre-Nationals, hosted by the University of Wisconsin.
