ROCHESTER, Mich. - The Golden Grizzlies Men's Golf team tees off the 2023 spring season at the Advance Golf Partners Collegiate hosted by UNC Greensboro February 12-14th. The event will be played at Hammock Creek Golf Club in Palm City, FL.
The Golden Grizzlies are one of 20 teams on the field which will start on Saturday, February 12th. Along with Oakland and host UNCG, The Advance Golf Partners Collegiate will consist of Drexel, South Dakota, Uconn, Old Dominion, Florida A&M, Creighton, Elon, Colgate, DePaul, George Mason, Villanova, Samford, Queens, Butler, Valpo, Bradley, USC Update, and Iona.Â
The starting lineup of Colin Sikkenga, Yaro Ilyenko, Anthony Comito, Ellis Kinnaird, and Luke Kelly will represent the Golden Grizzlies. Additionally, Bhavi Sohal and Ed Rowe will compete individually.Â
The quartet of Sikkenga, Ilyenko, Comito, and Kinnaird have started all 5 events this season for the Golden Grizzlies, which was highlighted by a victory at the Tom Tontimonia invitational hosted by Cleveland State. Freshman Luke Kelly will be making his third career start for Oakland after finishing 12th individually at the Dayton Flyer Invitational last fall.
Bhavneet Sohal will see his second action this season while Ed Rowe will compete for the first time this season for the Golden Grizzlies.
