CLEBURNE, Texas – Racking up 12 runs on 10 hits in the sixth inning, the Kansas Jayhawks defeated the Oakland Golden Grizzlies, 26-3, on Sunday, February 26 at The Depot at Cleburne Station.
Kansas improves to 5-1, while the Golden Grizzlies are now 0-6.
Making his first start in an Oakland uniform, redshirt senior right-hander
Sean Fekete was saddled with the loss, allowing four runs on three hits with two walks and a pair of strikeouts in his lone inning of work.

Ben Paugh saw action out of the bullpen and combined to record the final 21 outs.
Redshirt junior righty Hunter Cranton picked up the win for the Jayhawks, ending his afternoon with a line of three runs on seven hits with two walks and four strikeouts over five innings.
Two of which came in their big sixth inning, Kansas hit seven home runs, with redshirt sophomore catcher Jake English blasting two of them.

Gabe Lux tallied a game-high four hits for the Golden Grizzlies and is off to a .429 (9-21) start this season. Medina, Ohio sophomore second baseman
Peter Jelenic has the second-highest batting average on the team at .278 (5-18) and was the only other Oakland player to record multiple knocks Sunday, finishing 2-4 with a double and an RBI.
