FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Mikey Ketteman netted two goals to guide the Oakland men's soccer team to a 2-1 win against Purde Fort Wayne Saturday from the Hefner Soccer Complex.
"This was a great team win this afternoon. PFW is tough place to play and they have a good team, so we knew it would be a battle. A collective effort from the group to get an always difficult Horizon League away win," Head Coach
Eric Pogue said.
Saturday's win marks the second-straight or the Golden Grizzlies (4-5-2, 3-2 HL) and consecutive games in which Ketteman has scored.

Michael Sly Jr. created a penalty kick opportunity for the Mastodons in which Seth Mahlmeister was able to convert to give PFW the early 1-0 lead in the 27th minute.
Ketteman scored his first goal of the game just a few minutes later off an assist from
Jace Foster, the second assist on the year from the sophomore.
After entering halftime deadlocked at 1-1, Ketteman had an opportunity of his own to convert on a penalty kick in which the Portage, Mich. recorded his sixth goal of the year in the 61st minute.
Sly Jr. tallied two saves on the day, including an equalizer opportunity by PFW in the 83rd minute to keep the lead in the Golden Grizzlies' favor.
Purdue Fort Wayne have now lost two-straight and move to 5-4-1, and 3-2-0 in Horizon League play.
"Short turnaround as we head back out on the road to play a nationally ranked WMU team on Wednesday. We have a belief in our program that we want to play the best programs in the country and test ourselves each season, as it makes us battle tested for Horizon League games, Horizon League tournament and NCAA Tournament," Pogue added.
The Golden Grizzlies travel to Kalamazoo to take on Western Michigan Wednesday, Oct. 11 at 4:30 p.m. from the WMU Soccer Complex.
