ROCHESTER, Mich. - The Oakland Women's Swim and Dive team will be going head-to-head with Bowling Green this Friday, January 20th in the Oakland Aquatic center at 4:00 pm, and following this, both the men and women will be on their way to Matthaei Natatorium to take on Wayne State in a dual meet matchup on Saturday, January 21 at 1:00 pm.
The Golden Grizzlies secured Horizon League meet victories in the lanes this past weekend against IUPUI/ YSU tallying 705 total points for the men's team and 821 total points for the women's team. The team roped in a total of 42 first-place wins out of the 64 events competed, respectively.
Personal bests in the 100-yard breaststroke, along with the top performance at the mid-major level in the 100-yard IM were delivered by Oakland's Susan LaGrand as she tallied eight wins over the course of the weekend. Additionally, women's team swimmers on a roll were Jordyn Shipps, Taylor Bailey, Ronja Riihinen, and Alyssia Betancourt with fifteen combined first-place finishes with their energetic efforts in the lanes.
On the flip side, a number of men swimmers earned their winnings including Marko Khotynetskyi, Christian Bart, Cantrell Jonas, Harry Nicholson, and Sam McKenzie from events all across the board.
Additionally, Ellie Chalifoux put up a season-high 306.5 score off the diving board to claim the first-place spot for the diving portion of the dual meet.

With 200 MR and 400 free relays

16 - Event format with 1000 Free and 100IM, 50's & 100's of strokes.
